Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office headed by Col, Edison Revita, took a decisive step in ensuring the integrity and professionalism of its personnel by leading a province-wide surprise drug testing at the Provincial Headquarters, Barangay Cacawan, Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro. on January 2, The activity was conducted in strict adherence to the directive of Brig.Gen Roger Quesada, regional director, who has been leading efforts to intensify internal cleansing measures within PRO MIMAROPA. The surprise drug testing was facilitated by the Oriental Mindoro Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) headed by Lt.Col. Jocelyn Julian, Chief PFU, involving 100 randomly selected personnel, yielded 100% negative results. This outcome ensures the personnel’s commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace and highlights their dedication in fostering public trust and confidence in law enforcement.  

LOPEZ,Quezon — Naisakatuparan ang pamamahagi ng Emergency Shelter Assistance (ESA) na programa ng STAN Kalinga sa Mamamayan, Tulong Pinansyal mula sa Kapitolyo kabalikat ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa Barangay Matinik Lopez, Quezon, noong Disyembre 23. Sa inisyatibo ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan katuwang ang Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) at Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) ay nabigyan ng tulong pinansyal ang 58 na pamilya na apektado sa pagguho ng lupa nitong araw ng Sabado, Disyembre 14 sa nasabing Barangay. Samantala, patuloy ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) upang agarang maisaayos ang mga nasirang kalsada dahil sa pagguho ng lupa. Sinisiguro rin ni Governor Tan na hindi siya hihinto sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa nasyunal na pamahalaan upang makapaghatid ng nararapat na tulong at serbisyo sa bawat Quezonian.  

Sa pangunguna ni Governor Doktora Helen Tan, nakamit ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Quezon ang 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance Award ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). Bilang parte ng HEALING Agenda ang Good Governance ni Gov. Tan, patuloy na isinusulong nito ang mabuting pamamahala at pagsisikap na maihatid ang tunay at epektibong serbisyo para sa bawat mamamayan. Ang Seal of Good Local Governance ay ang pinakamataas na pagkilala na iginagawad ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa mga lokal na pamahalaan sa buong bansa. “It’s a concerted effort of everyone, and it’s a proof that we are doing our best sa Capitol [Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Quezon] na ayusin lahat ang mga proseso at sistema,” saad ni Gov.   By Danny Estacio   TIAONG, Quezon- Thousands of residents witnessed the lighting of the façade of municipal hall and its surroundings by the local government unit led by Mayor Vincent Arjay Mea during the switch-on lighting ceremony on Friday evening, Dec. 6. The façade of the building is decorated with indigenous materials from coconuts, such as dried coconut leaves. At the same time, the giant Christmas tree is also covered with recycled materials and decorated with thousands of various lights. Along with the fireworks display that lasted about 15 minutes while playing the local and self-made Christmas carols. This year’s theme is “Meananaig, Ang Pag-ibig ngayong Pasko sa Tiaong. Mea was accompanied by members of the Sangguniang Bayan, municipal employees, senior citizens, Girl Scouts, barangay chiefs and their representative’s council members, and residents from different barangays. Mea also gave early Christmas gifts to thousands of children under the age of ten who were assisted by their parents, much to their delight. The lighting did not cost a lot, because other materials were already used during the previous holidays, the lighting was simple but very meaningful to reflect the true spirit of the holiday, Mea said. Mea wants to make his constituents and travelers who pass through their town feel the spirit of Christmas. The spirit of Christmas is alive and well in Tiaong, he added.                      

As a testament to the Administration’s unwavering dedication to bolstering agrarian reform and empowering farmers, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the distribution of Electronic Titles (E-Titles) and Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROMs) in Lucena City, Quezon on November 29, 2024. A total of 11,497 certificates will be distributed to 9,811 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) from the Province of Quezon. These certificates will be accompanied by P441.71 million in condoned funds. This initiative aims to relieve farmers’ financial burdens by formally releasing their debts and mortgage obligations. Additionally, it provides 15 E-Titles covering 30.8 hectares of agricultural land under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project. This effort aligns with Republic Act (R.A.) No. 11953, known as the New Emancipation Act, that is expected to offer substantial financial assistance to farmers, motivate them and contribute to the nation’s food security.

Singson’s flagship project, “Banko ng Masa,” aims to address the staggering statistic that 77% of Filipinos lack bank accounts and 95% do not have debit or credit cards. His plan seeks to provide every Filipino aged 18 and above with access to a bank account and a credit card, including Visa cards tailored to specific localities. Singson is also committed to making these e-jeepneys accessible to drivers through a unique financing scheme with zero down payments, zero collateral, and no interest. This initiative aims to empower jeepney drivers while addressing air pollution and traffic congestion. “My plan will not only help drivers earn more but also create a more sustainable and efficient transportation system for everyone,” he asserted. Singson pledged to support the financing scheme, particularly for Lucban Drivers and Tricycle Operators and the drivers and operator’s president is the only person to whom he makes transactions.
