” In just three years, I think we can see the changes here in the province, in terms of education, infrasctructure, social services, lalo na sa health program, lahat ng pagbabago ay makikita natin.

It is about being part of a student’s journey to discover their passion and build their future. Globe wants to help students find those passions and chase them without feeling lost in the noise. Globe offers a lot of ways for students to get involved in the Globe Community Builders Program. Students can unlock daily perks and essentials through the Student Rewards on the GlobeOne app. If students have big ideas, they can pitch them through Globe Student Grants on the Globe website— and the best ones can partner with Globe to bring their ideas to life. Students can pitch their organized events, projects, and connect with mentors, and take a more active role in shaping their communities. Internships are also available for those ready to start building their careers early. One example of this in action happened in May when Globe organized the Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* led by the Marketing Youth Culture department. Student leaders from different high schools and universities were invited to special block screenings held in select Metro Manila, Nueva Ecija, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao cinemas. Apart from enjoying the movie, they were also given the opportunity to connect with Globe mentors and learn more about joining the Globe Community Builders Program, where they could take a more active role in leading projects, organizing events, and building their leadership skills. “Just like the heroes we see on screen, every student has the potential to rise, lead, and make a difference. Through Globe Community Builders Program, Globe is here to champion their dreams and stand with them every step of the way,” said Andrew James Lim, Lead for Marketing Youth Culture at Globe. Globe continues to move forward, solidifying its role as a true partner for students — helping them find their voice, chase their passions, and build a future they can proudly call their own. Because every student deserves someone in their corner as they step into who they are meant to become.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training

Region 3

Freeport stakeholders join the Mass Hands-only CPR training event organized by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority –Public Health and Safety Department in cooperation with the Philippine Heart Association, Inc.-Central Luzon. The training was held at the Ayala Malls Harbor Point Mall on Wednesday, April 30. The participants were trained to respond to possible victims of cardiac arrest in the workplace. Hands-only CPR, or compression-only CPR, is designed to make CPR easier for untrained bystanders to perform in the event of a cardiac arrest. Its primary purpose is to maintain blood circulation to the brain and vital organs until professional medical help arrives. This is achieved through chest compressions, which help pump the remaining oxygenated blood throughout the body. The project is also supported by the Olongapo City Medical Society, the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians-Olongapo City Chapter and the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine-Olongapo City Chapter.

Padilla leads Congressional Race in Nueva Vizcaya

Region 2

By Rachel Magday   With less than two weeks before the May 12 election, a recent survey conducted by a group of researchers and professors from a prestigious university has provided a snapshot of voter preferences in the upcoming congressional race in Nueva Vizcaya. The survey, which was conducted from April 23 to 28 across all municipalities of the province, involved 2,000 respondents and boasts a 99% confidence level with a 1% margin of error. The survey employed the Publicus methodology, a robust approach also used by renowned polling organizations such as Social Weather Stations (SWS) and Pulse Asia. This method incorporates random sampling techniques to ensure a representative cross-section of the population, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of the results. According to the survey results, Ruth Padilla of the Nacionalista Party (NP) is currently leading the race with 39.57% of the vote. Her nearest competitor, Timothy Cayton of Aksyon Demokratiko (AKSYON), trails with 26.66%. Following closely is Jose Tam-an Tomas of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (LAKAS), who has garnered 21.21% support from the respondents. The survey also highlighted the performance of other candidates in the race. Jun Manghi secured 4.45%. General Val De Leon captured 3.50%,Jay Padilla received 2.40% of the vote of the respondents’ preferences. Notably, both abstentions and Lawrence Santa Ana each accounted for 1.10% of the survey results. The same group of researchers conducted earlier rounds of surveys, with Ruth Padilla consistently emerging as the top choice among voters. The first round, held from January 15-20, and the second round, from March 20-25, both confirmed her leading position. This consistent performance underscores her strong and sustained appeal among the electorate. Adding to her momentum, Ruth Padilla also led in the mock elections conducted by St. Mary’s University in the first week of April, where she garnered 44.64% of the vote. Her consistent lead across various surveys highlights her robust standing in the race.
