Win-win solution for market development- Sembrano

BAGUIO CITY – “I go for a win-win solution for all stakeholders, and first and foremost protection of vendors is my concern,” said city councilor candidate Elaine Sembrano, in relation to the Market Development of the Baguio City Public Market.

According to Sembrano, whoever develops our market should finish it and give priority to protecting the vendors here.

“If the city government really takes over, because that is what the majority wants, then our city can finish it. Just don’t do the rehabilitation in a piecemeal manner, because otherwise, nothing will happen and it will never be finished,” Sembrano said.

Sembrano was a City Councilor from 2007 to 2010 and held the Market, Trade, Commerce and Agriculture as chairperson and his committee continued from 2013 to 2016.

“I just call, let’s choose who can finish the rehabilitation of our market and not neglect our vendors and also for their sake that they be comfortable in their sales.”

“To our constituents of Baguio, let us go for a win-win solution for our market, but first of all is the concern of our vendors, who should be given the right place, comfortable seats and a clean place for the tourists who come,” Sembrano said.(PR)
