CAMP COL ROMEO A ABENDAN, Zamboanga City, Philippines — Police Regional Office (PRO) 9 intensified its manhunt operations, resulting in the arrest of 129 wanted persons across the region from September 1 to 15, 2026.

Of the total, 58 were classified as Most Wanted Persons, while 71 were Other Wanted Persons, reflecting the continued efforts of PRO 9 to locate and apprehend individuals with standing warrants of arrest.

The arrests were carried out through sustained intelligence-driven operations, warrant service, police visibility, and close coordination among police units and other law enforcement partners throughout the region.

Police Brigadier General Elmer E Ragay, Regional Director, PRO 9 emphasized that the successful apprehension of these wanted persons demonstrates the police force’s commitment to strengthening law enforcement operations and ensuring that individuals who are the subject of valid court-issued warrants are brought before the proper judicial authorities.

“Our intensified manhunt operations demonstrate our firm commitment to uphold the rule of law and ensure that wanted individuals are held accountable through lawful processes,” PBGen Ragay said.

PRO 9 remains steadfast in its intensified campaign against wanted persons and all forms of criminality. In line with the Chief, PNP mantra, “Sa Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman,” PRO 9 continues to strengthen intelligence-driven operations and law enforcement initiatives to maintain peace and order, protect vulnerable sectors, and ensure safer communities across the region.
