Nueva Vizcaya economy grows 2.6% in 2025

NUEVA VIZCAYA Philippines —Nueva Vizcaya’s economy expanded by 2.6 percent in 2025, reaching P67.24 billion in output (constant 2018 prices), as a stronger services sector helped push provincial production higher, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region II reported.

Services made up the largest share of the economy at 44.5 percent, followed by industry at 35.3 percent and agriculture, forestry and fishing at 20.2 percent. Despite the shift toward services, farming and mining remain important sources of income and jobs.

Major industry shares:

• Agriculture, forestry and fishing: 20.2%

• Construction: 14.0%

• Mining and quarrying: 13.0%

• Wholesale and retail trade (including vehicle repair): 12.5%

• Education: 8.3%

• Manufacturing: 6.3%

Fastest-growing sectors in 2025:

• Human health and social work activities: +13.3%

• Accommodation and food services: +11.6%

• Education: +11.0%

Top contributors to the overall 2.6% growth were education (+0.84 percentage point), agriculture, forestry and fishing (+0.83 pp), and wholesale and retail trade (+0.72 pp).

Per capita output rose to P128,443 for 2025. PSA Region II released the figures as part of its provincial accounts for the year.
