La Union celebrates PBBM’s Birthday with Province-Wide Service Caravan

LA UNION, Philippines — The Province of La Union made essential services, programs, and assistance accessible to Elyucanos through a One-Stop Service Hub at the Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center, City of San Fernando, La Union, on September 14, 2026.

La Union joined the nationwide Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat to celebrate the birthday of Philippine President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Led by Governor Mario Eduardo C. Ortega together with Provincial Officials and representatives from National Government Agencies, Provincial Agencies, and Provincial Government of La Union Offices, the service caravan delivered a wide range of opportunities to students, Overseas Filipino Workers, persons with disabilities, farmers, fisherfolks, cooperatives, and entrepreneurs.

Department of Migrant Workers Assistant Secretary Augusto B. San Diego III and Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Atty. Asis G. Perez extended their messages of support for the event, underscoring the government’s commitment to deliver programs with direct impact to the people, and services that support Filipino workers.

More than a thousand Elyucano beneficiaries received free medical services, job opportunities, educational support, legal assistance, information drives, animal services, and livelihood assistance.

The program also served as a venue for the distribution of allowances, fruit tree seedlings, agricultural crops, and bags of rice, along with issuance of necessary documents, IDs, and certificates.
