BOAC, Marinduque, Philippines — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) distributed a total of 76.1516 hectares of agricultural land to 109 individuals from three municipalities in Marinduque during the first half of the year 2026.

DAR Marinduque Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II (PARPO) Engr. Virgilio L. Laggui said the agency distributed 28 Collective Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CCLOAs) covering the three towns here.

In Boac town, 19 CCLOAs were distributed to 70 individuals covering 64.9266 hectares of land. Mogpog town received six CCLOAs for 21 individuals covering 5.0499 hectares, while three CCLOAs were distributed to 10 individuals in Torrijos town covering 2.4213 hectares.

Aside from land distribution, DAR Marinduque also awarded 95 Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (CoCRoMs) to the fifth batch of agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs). The CoCRoMs benefited 88 ARBs who collectively held 121.8337 hectares of land, with a total value of ₱3,155,843.03.

The DAR also provided farm machinery and equipment to two farmers’ cooperatives under its Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS) program.

The 25-member Bachao-Ilaya Farmers Agriculture Cooperative received a Bowa hand tractor with a multi-tilting machine and a 2-stroke grass cutter worth ₱224,500, as well as a drip irrigation system valued at ₱140,000.

The Duyay Agriculture Cooperative, also composed of 25 members, received a Bowa hand tractor with a multi-tilting machine worth ₱201,500 and a drip irrigation system valued at ₱140,000.

Laggui said additional assistance and benefits would be extended to other agrarian reform beneficiaries in the province before the end of the year.

The initiatives form part of DAR Marinduque’s continuing efforts in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directives to provide land tenure security and livelihood support to ARBs while helping improve agricultural productivity in the province. (DN/AS/JBG/PIA MIMAROPA-Marinduque)
