Strengthening its relationship with the community, Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region Regional Director, Brig.Gen.David Peredo,Jr., engages with the community elders and youth of Barangay Loccong and Buscalan in Tinglayan, Kalinga, on September 3.
During the dialogue with the elders, Peredo addressed pressing community concerns, including education, employment, and road infrastructure as the reasons in the cultivation and planting of marijuana.
He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between the Local Government Unit and other stakeholders to address these issues effectively. Moreover, he discussed the challenges posed by illegal drugs in the area and expressed his gratitude to the elders for their unwavering support in the PNP’s fight against criminality.
The Regional Director also engaged with the local youth, providing them with valuable insights into the PNP application process and addressing their inquiries. He encouraged them to consider a career in law enforcement, highlighting the opportunities and the positive impact they could make on their community.
These dialogues are integral to PRO-CAR’s community-oriented programs, fostering stronger ties and ensuring that the concerns of various sectors are heard and addressed.
