P632-M recovered shabu destroyed in Ilocos Sur

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO, La Union – In a decisive move against drug trafficking, 93 packs of dangerous drugs (shabu), weighing 93,042.52 grams, valued at P632,689,136.00 were incinerated by authorities in Caoayan, Ilocos Sur, on July 8.
 Said illegal drugs were those recovered in a series of drug haul in the coastal areas of Ilocos Sur.

Darnell Dulnuan, provincial director of Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office; USEC Moro Lazo, PDEA, Director General; Governor Jeremias “Jerry” Singson; Sanguniang Panlalawigan Member Efren Rambo Rafanan; representative from DOJ and Local Chief Executives from different municipalities of Ilocos Sur.
Evangelista highlighted the importance of the joint effort in eliminating drugs from communities, stressing the collaboration among stakeholders and agencies.
He highlighted the role of public cooperation in achieving a drug-free Region 1, emphasizing the collective responsibility to safeguard the region’s safety and well-being.
The successful operation marks a big step in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs, demonstrating the region’s commitment to creating a drug-free environment through coordinated efforts and community.
