LGU Bauang grants burial aid to 24 beneficiaries

The Municipality of Bauang, under the leadership of Mayor Ma. Clarissa “Manang Bong” T. Lee, held a Financial Assistance Grant Pay-out for 24 burial assistance beneficiaries on July 9, 2025, at the Farmers’ Hall, Municipal Building.

The program was organized by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, headed by Ms. Arlie R. Alonzo, LSWDO, who welcomed the beneficiaries and explained the importance of the LGU’s support in times of grief.

SBM Raymund C. Ganaden gave an inspirational message, encouraging everyone to stay hopeful and reminded them to keep smiling despite hardships. “Even during difficult times, let us try to stay happy and grateful for life,” he said.

Vice Mayor Tanya Roberta A. De Guzman also gave a short message, saying the burial assistance is part of Ordinance No. 2022-07, which she authored during her time as a councilor. The ordinance aims to support Bauang residents during moments of need.

Mayor Ma. Clarissa “Manang Bong” T. Lee personally addressed the beneficiaries, extending her condolences and assuring them that the local government will always be ready to help. “We hope this small help can ease your burden. In Bauang, you are not alone,” she said.

The pay-out is part of the LGU’s ongoing programs to provide financial and emotional support to Bauang residents during life’s most difficult times.
