Hall of Justice grounds break in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY, Quezon, Philippines – House Deputy Speaker David C. Suarez led the groundbreaking rites of the Hall of Justice-Lucena City, Thursday morning, Nov. 20, in Barangay Mayao Parada, here.

The event was graced by Supreme Court (SC) justice Midas Marquez, SC associate justice Raul Villanueva, Court of Appeals (CA) court administrator, CA associate justice Robert Marcon, regional and municipal trial court judges in Lucena City and Quezon, members of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)- Quezon chapter, and Public Attorney’s Office.

Suarez, who initiated the Justice Hall, is to be constructed on a portion of a three-hectare lot donated by former Quezon Governor Danilo Suarez.

Lucena now has a justice hall, which is to be built to serve the people by providing a necessary and appropriate space for the work of the judicial branch.

Suarez said it took almost six years for the project to be realized. The construction is a milestone in judicial history in this city.

Suarez also announced that the Supreme Court has allotted P800 million.
