Celebrating Art, Creativity, and Love with Mark Agcaoile

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – Art can be expressed in many ways, and for Mark Bernardo Agcaoile, it comes through detailed portraits and drawings created using his feet. His works are currently on display at SM City Baguio, giving visitors an opportunity to see his craft and learn more about his journey as an artist.

A person with disability from Ilagan City, Isabela, Mark began drawing with his feet after meningitis at the age of 11 affected his ability to use his hands and speak. Over time, what began as a way to express himself became a craft he continued to develop through practice, patience, and a love for art.

His talent has since brought his work to different audiences, including Baguio City, where he has participated in art exhibits and shared his detailed portraits with the public.

Today, Mark’s artworks are once again being featured at SM City Baguio, giving visitors an opportunity to appreciate his work and discover the story behind the artist.

What makes Mark’s journey meaningful is not simply the way he creates art, but the dedication he continues to bring to it. His work reflects the time, practice, and personal expression that go into every portrait, reminding us that creativity can find its way through different forms.

For SM City Baguio, providing space for artists like Mark is part of creating opportunities for local talent to be seen and appreciated. Art becomes more accessible when it is brought closer to the community, allowing people to encounter different perspectives and discover the stories behind the works on display.

Through Mark’s exhibit, visitors are invited to take a closer look, appreciate his craft, and celebrate the joy of creating. His story is a gentle reminder that art is not limited to one way of making or expressing something. Sometimes, all it takes is the opportunity, the patience to keep practicing, and the love to continue.

Mark Agcaoile’s art exhibit is on display at SM City Baguio until October 11. Visit the mall and discover his artworks while supporting local artists and the creative community at SM City Baguio, Baguio’s most loved mall.
