LA UNION  Philippines — In celebration of the 37th National Statistics Month, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) was recognized as the Best LGU Advocate for Statistics held at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Assembly Hall, Manila, on October 28.

Organized by the Philippine Statistical System, the major award serves as a testament to the PGLU’s dedication in demonstrating exemplary dedication and unparalleled performance towards the successful conduct of statistical advocacy activities from January to December 2025.

Governor Mario Eduardo C. Ortega reaffirmed the PGLU’s commitment to delivering transparent, evidence-based governance by leveraging accurate data in local development planning and policy-making.

He underscored that reliable statistics remain crucial in crafting programs that directly address the needs of Elyucanos.
