BATANGAS CITY, Philippines —  Senator Lito Lapid—known as “Ang Supremo”—visited three barangays in Batangas City this Saturday and distributed grocery packs to some 600 residents, including 200 solo parents, 200 daycare pupils, 200 members of the LGBTQ+ community, and other indigent individuals on Saturday, Sept. 26, in this city.

This activity falls under the “Lingkod Lapid” program, an initiative he launched to provide aid to various parts of the country since his return to the Senate.

The grocery packs were funded personally by Senator Lapid and contained rice, milk, noodles, spaghetti, and canned goods.

Senator Lapid expressed his genuine concern and care for the beneficiaries.

He was glad to extend assistance to the people of Batangas.

After the distribution in Batangas City, he conducted an ocular inspection of the ongoing construction of the city hall annex building, a project he funded with P200 million at New Lipa City Hall.

Lipa City Mayor Eric Africa expressed gratitude for the project Lapid allocated to the city, noting that it would greatly support the city’s public service delivery.
